An REO property is one that is currently owned by a bank,
corporation, or similar entity. REO stands for "Real Estate
Owned". The property has already been through the foreclosure
process, and is typically free of any liens.
The increasing number of foreclosed homes on the market today
demands that investors need to educate themselves about the
winning methods to find, secure, and negotiate the perfect deal.

I wrote this e-guide because, on a daily basis, I see even the
savviest investors make critical errors when trying to purchase an
REO property. If they were armed with the knowledge provided
here, I have no doubt they would have gotten the right property, for
the right price, or at least would have quickly known to move on to
the next profitable deal!

General FACTS about REO properties:

Anyone qualified to purchase a property can buy an REO
property - there is no special qualification.

Although you will not be dealing with an emotional seller,
you will need to be reasonable.

What the bank was owed at time of foreclosure is basically
irrelevant to banks asking price.

Timing can be everything.

Overall ignorance of the process can mean disaster -
knowledge is power!
